By a vote of 64-32, the Senate approved legislation that prohibits workplace discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity. The bill has been introduced in every Congress since 1994 but never passed. House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, opposes the measure and said he will not schedule a vote on it. |
